Packaging

So when you crack open the box, you’ll find your device, some paperwork, a user manual and the Geekvape Z tank. You’ll also get an extra piece of glass for the tank, a second coil head, a micro USB cable, and a baggie of spares, plus a handy coil prying tool.

Geekvape Z Tank

Geekvape Z Tank is a popular mesh coil tank, holding up to 5.5 mL of liquid. It has a top airflow device with an AFC ring, and has minor updates from the previous version. It comes with two coils – a new XM Z series coil and a smaller inner diameter Kanthal .4 ohm coil. The XM Z series coil is pre-installed and has a longer lifespan, able to handle 60 mL of E-liquid. The article also shows how to install the XM coil by priming the wicking and pushing it into the tank. The filling method involves a quarter turn and then lifting up the cap to access one of the two filling slots. The tank has a capacity of 5.5 mL of liquid. After filling, the cap should be placed back on the tank.

Geekvape Z200 Mod

The Geekvape Z mod is a sleek and stylish device made from zinc alloy. It boasts a mirror-finish panel that changes in the light, featuring the phrase “Absolute Power,” and a Geekvape Z logo on the bottom. The side of the device displays the words “Geek Vape Z” and has textured lines cut into it for added grip. The device is also rounded to fit comfortably in the hand.

The battery compartment is located at the bottom of the device, and it can hold two 18650 batteries. The battery door is spring-loaded and easy to access. The device is not IP68 rated, so it may not be the best option for those who need a waterproof device.

The device’s screen is large and displays battery bars for both batteries, wattage, amps, ohm load, voltage, and puff counter. The controls work similarly to other Geekvape mods, with a fire button and up or down buttons to adjust settings. The device can reach up to 200 watts and scrolls in one-watt increments, with the option to round-robin to 5 watts.

One unique feature of the Geekvape Z mod is its ability to lock the controls while still allowing the user to fire the device. This feature ensures that users don’t accidentally adjust their settings while vaping.

The device also has a Smart Mode, which adjusts the wattage based on the ohm load of the tank. The user can also switch between power mode, Smart Mode, TC stainless steel, TCTCR, and bypass mode. The resistance can be set and locked, and the puff counter can be reset.

Performance

Geek Vape z200 kit with Z tank up top. It’s reading 0.15 on the mod. When I have it at 75 Watts, airflow is wide open, three milligram inside. Very smooth draw even with the airflow all the way open, just slightly restricted but it’s what you want out of a mesh sub ohm tank. Really saturated, lots of vapor, great flavor right off the bat and a really smooth draw. When I just cut the airflow down like a hair, so about one-fifth of the way I would say. Yeah, great draw on that, great flavor. I don’t have any big complaints on these Z tank here. It’s been around for quite some time. It’s one of the top sellers still in the United States when it comes to mesh sub ohm tanks, which is pretty cool. And you know, for good reason, it’s a great performer. They keep adding to it, they keep adding new coils to it but it’s been the same platform for years now and so they’re just making refinements and tweaks and making it better and better. Great tank, great vape off of it. If you haven’t used it but you’re a mesh sub ohm tank user, it’s definitely worth trying out, fantastic, especially for a top airflow tank where a lot of top airflow tanks tend to have less flavor. Not so with this one, at least with this new coil. It’s a fantastic vape.

Pros:

  • The screen is large and easy to read
  • The buttons have a good click and resistance
  • The build quality is high and there are thoughtful design features
  • Feels comfortable in the hand
  • The Z tank is of high quality

Cons:

  • The mod uses a micro USB port instead of USB-C, which is less common in 2023
  • The location of the micro USB port is awkward when the tank is attached
  • The mod lacks an IP67 or IP68 rating and rubber coating
  • The platform up top is not large, limiting the tank size that can be used without overhang
  • Some users may not like the door on the bottom (though it is well-done)

To Sum It Up

the Geekvape Z200 kit is a solid choice for vapers who want a high-quality device with a thoughtful design. The large and easy-to-read screen, well-crafted buttons, and comfortable grip make it easy to use. The Z tank is also of high quality, ensuring a great vaping experience. However, there are a few cons to consider, including the use of a micro USB port instead of the more common USB-C, an awkward location for the port when the tank is attached, and the lack of an IP67 or IP68 rating and rubber coating. Additionally, the platform up top limits the size of the tank that can be used without overhang, and some users may not like the bottom door. Overall, the Geekvape Z200 kit is a great choice for vapers looking for a reliable and well-designed device.
