British American Tobacco Maintains Its Full-Year Profit Forecast As Demand For Ecigs Rises

British American Tobacco, the world’s second-ranked tobacco group, announced its latest operating status on Tuesday, December 7, 2021. The latest statement reflects that benefiting from more and more people turning to the company’s electronic cigarettes and nicotine products, the company maintains its full-year profit and revenue expectations.

It is reported that the company is the first tobacco group to obtain the US FDA’s marketing and sales permits for e-cigarettes. The company said that 3.6 million new customers used its e-cigarette products this year, bringing the total customer base to 17.1 million. In the first half of the year ending June 30, 2021, the company had 16.1 million customers.

In addition, the group’s cigarette brands Lucky Strike and Dunhill (Dunhill) are forecast to maintain revenue growth of more than 5% for the full year of 2021.
